The next step after engraving is printing multiple copies of your piece for distribution. A traditional “publisher” would handle the expenses for this process and then sell and distribute a work to their dealer network, or directly to individual customers. They would also contract to become the copyright owner, keep much more of the proceeds and then send royalties to the composer, usually once per year. The amount of money per copy that ends up in the composer’s hands in this model is rather meager.
Splunge Music can handle the publication design and printing process, and produce a small print run of your musical composition ready for you to sell or distribute as you see fit and at a price of your choosing. Costs will vary as drastically as the size and scope of the music you create and the quality and size of the paper and materials used in the publication. However, it’s a pretty sure bet that you will make more per copy by paying for the printing and turning around and selling it yourself then by the traditional publisher model.
