Wedding Gift: Rod and Jinann
Traditional 19th century Australian bush song. This setting plucks the tune out of the usual bawdy 3/4 waltz tempo and slows it down into a square and expressive 4/4. Originally composed after Rod jokingly asked if I would play Waltzing Matilda at his wedding. A few folks who attended the wedding recognized what it was and giggled appropriately.
