The word ’splunge’ is a somewhat obscure Monty Python reference.
Splunge Music has been in business over 15 years (since 1994), and originally started as a sheet music publishing company for the self-published works of Scott D. Farquhar. It has expanded over the years to include engraving and publishing works by other Maryland and Washington D.C. composers, songwriters, and educators. Splunge Music has engraved and published a variety of works including solo pieces, songs, chamber works, ensemble pieces, and even piano methods and educational texts.
Looking ahead, Splunge Music hopes to continue to be the best place for new or casual composers and songwriters to see their handwritten musical ideas translated into professional print music for the first time. We will strive to expand our catalog and continue to embrace the digital delivery and print-on-demand model for all print music that we publish and produce. Splunge Music will also continue to distribute a hand-picked selection of what we feel are the best editions of classical masterpieces.
